Oh to be in England !

Miewmie's gone all poetical. Well, actually she didn't write this but she thought it was very apt for such a glorious spring day. I think those industrial strength antibiotics she took have affected her bwain !!

Oh, to be in England
Now that April's there,
And whoever wakes in England
Sees, some morning, unaware,
That the lowest boughs and the brushwood sheaf
Round the elm-tree bole are in tiny leaf
While the chaffinch sings on the orchard bough
In England-Now !

We hope this means your Miewmie is over the bug that she had. We figure that enjoying poetry is a good sign, anyway.

Also, we weren't familiar with the poem, so we had our human Google it. Browning wrote nice. Did he ever write poems about cats? He probably would have done a fine job of it.

What a nice thought for the day! We're enjoying a sunny day here in the Pacific Northwest, too.

Have a good weekend!
